Who we are

United Esan Association of Illinois, Chicago is a philanthropic organization with a 501(C) 3 non-profit tax-exempt status in the United States of America. We are composed of members of the Esan community in the Chicagoland area. We provide a social and professional network for people of Esan origin or descent, as well as providing scholarship programs to the less fortunate Esan children in Edo state.


What we Stand For

  • Preserve and promote the Esan cultural heritage
  •  Enhance the welfare of the indigenous people of EsanLand
  •  Encourage mutual cooperation among Esan people and other ethnic groups in Edo State Nigeria.

Events

Membership

We always welcome new members! Please fill in the form below with your basic information. We will contact you shortly.

A member shall be:

a) Any indigene of old Ishan Division of the present Edo State of Nigeria

b) Spouses and children (including step, foster and adopted) of any indigene of old Ishan Division

c) Memberships also extend to the Owan, Ora and Etsako ethnic group of the present Edo State.

To be a bona fide member of the United Esan Association of Illinois, Article III Section 2 of the Constitution, requires not less than two-third attendance of scheduled monthly meetings of one fiscal year and pay regular dues as set forth in the Constitution.
